I can't resist these Banded Demoiselles in flight. The R5ii +RF 100-500mm is really good at catching them.
Now that I can see again, I can take a lot less "hopeful" shots LOLTack sharp on the subject with a very short DOF. Well done!
Normally, dragons and damsels lay their eggs into the water or plants. And not as a batch. Are those eggs?
Beautiful shot, congrats to your wife.A Willow Emerald Damselfly taken by my wife ...
I too used Obsidentify (which calls it "common spreadwing")and made a mistake in typing the name here. If you hover over the image, you can see I labelled it just female-emerald damselfly (3R3A5190-DxO_Female_emerald_damselfly.jpg).Beautiful shot, congrats to your wife.
ObsIdentify says 100% emerald damselfly (lestes sponsa). Willow emeralds (chalcolestes viridis) have no blue parts/eyes.
Otherwise very similar.
(edit: I still hope for you to get your willow emerald. Here the lestes sponsa are less frequent. Last year I spottet my first one)
