! Female Roseate Skimmer. After two dry years these are the most common right now. It's funny because we have some endemic stuff on Oahu: I remember when several years ago UH was looking for volunteers students to be dropped by Chopper high in the mountains to collect insect material for a study (took me some time to make sure my daughter is not going: "it's so cool, I will take a camera with me - just imagine!!!!") - it is about the area where you can find the endemics now... Hardly accessible when yow are 70 old !

You know, I was just kidding and that the twig wasn't disturbing me at all.
It's more that I don't find the time to go out. And nor to do the PP of my Mallorca photos.

TBH, the artefacts at the leaf and at the base of the twig are more disturbing to me than the original.
I know, it takes little effort, to remove the twig in a better way.
And I must recognize, that trying to make a joke failed massively.

I used Lightroom on my iPad to remove the twig, using remove with generative AI and it took me about 1 minute of finger painting….

Edit: and removed both the original and edited version from my iPad.

Impressive!!! Even the spider web is not looking THAT broken! I posted a photo in the "Reptiles...." with significantly more complicated background. If you can made that poo to disappear I should buy a Lightroom and take a classes from you...

Second time ever that I could get a golden-ringed dragonfly (cordulegaster boltonii).
Normally, I don't get them sitting. And when they fly, they never hover, but patrol in low flight over shady forest streams.

As with @AlanF the migrant hawkers (aeshna mixta) appear and summer is almost over.
German name: Herbst-Mosaikjungfer = autumn hawker
I've tried some artistic approach with highlights on the wings and in the bg.
