That's very early. I saw them first at the end of July last year. Are you home in Germany or travelling somewhere warm?

Just checked. They have been seen early here as well. Must be strong winds blowing them over. Lovely to see.

They can overwinter in Germany. Time ago it has been rare case but now it's increasing trend. The exemplar on the photos is not freshly hatched moth.
