1Dx availability in UK - Jessops

I posted back at the start of July regarding the 1Dx availability from Jessop's in the uk. They have just called me to take payment and it is being dispatched tomorrow. I placed my pre-order on June 1st once the June 20 launch date had been made fairly certain, so pretty much a 2 month wait. I know there were a lot of posts back in early July with excited people getting their kit, not sure if that excitement has died down. Well not for me! Typically I'm off to London for the weekend for Olympic Football (7D will have to do) so it'll be Monday before I'm home, hopefully it'll be waiting at the local couriers house for me! I'll give the unboxing video a miss though;D Hopefully any other uk readers with pre orders at Jessops will be getting theirs soon too.

According to Amateur photograghy Canon as invested £10 million into Jessops to keep it afloat, so I suspect that Jessops in future may have all the good Canon deals although Canon denies it has done a deal.

I ordered mine last week.

Got it yesterday and not from Jessops, so they may not have that good a deal. Mine came in a box labled box 59 of 96 cant quite belive anyone got 96 of them but you never know.

I got mine from WEX, was quoted 2 months delivery or more. So a week was a heck of a surprise, if a nice one.

ordered mine on Monday received it on Tuesday ;D from CVP they still have 7 more in stock if anyone's interested.

I've never dealt with them befor Dark Star, good shout, 3 in stock now. I got mine on Monday, arrived home after a weekend in London to find it lying on my unlocked garage floor !

Mine is coming from Park Cameras - about 3 weeks from ordering. They are saying that the 1DX is shipping in good numbers now.

I've been looking for stock of these for a while. Just got off the phone with Castle Cameras? They think they're getting some tomorrow and have filled their back orders so fingers crossed I can get delivery on Friday!

I've checked them out and they seem very legit, the bloke on the phone was a bit of a laugh too.
