How does the 1dmk2 or 1dmk2n stand up to current bodies these days?


I have my eyes set on the 5dmk3 already, but I've always wanted a pro-body. I currently shoot with a 60D.

I've seen plenty of 1dmk2's listed anywhere between $400 to $1000. The $400 price tag for a pro body is really tempting.

Would it be worth it to get the 1dmk2 for $400 just to have a pro body? I'd probably end up using it for sports seeing as the 60D's fps and af system doesn't really cut it sometimes.

It's still a great camera if you don't care about shooting at ISO higher than 400. I have a 40D and 5D2 and I kept my 1DMKII solely because its autofocus still runs circles around my other bodies.

Now that the 5D3 has pro AF, I have put my 40D and 1D2 up for auction on eBay.
