A fourth unreleased Canon camera has appeared for certification

As I have said in previous post it looks like H2 2024 is going to have quite a few releases by Canon. Four camera bodies (two cinema and two EOS R) is a decent amount. I would be equally interested in learning about upcoming lenses as well.

cough, I don't really cares how many are coming, better get a more budget priced R5 II with grip!
In your experience, does Canon have a long history of releasing successor models at lower prices than their predecessors? Particularly when inflation is high?

Meanwhile, I recommend some dextromethorphan for that cough. When the R5II launches at a higher (or at least, not lower) price than the R5, you may want some of the L stereoisomer of the above to dull the pain. ;)

I think it will last, Canon seems to be strong on "announcements", not so much on actual production..........
Yeah, it’s funny. The newly-released consumer-level products seem well supplied. Even the 28/2.8, though it was on the delay list, was released early and was widely available. RF-S lenses and non-L lenses are in stock and often discounted. Older L-series lenses get discounts, too.

But the relatively new, expensive lenses remain in short supply for a year or more. No discounts, meaning maximum profit on those high margin lenses thanks to the short supply. And Canon controls that supply. Funny, huh?

in the meantime, we can all get a lot more flexibility with an L-mount alliance camera...
