Canon has registered a new ILC camera with regulators

It looks like Canon is nearing an announcement for an ILC in the near future. The registered camera has the name DS126922. The “DS” has historically related to ILC cameras. There is a second certification from Canon as well, this one is called ID0179. We have no historical reference for an item beginning with “ID”.

Are we expecting any other cameras than the R1 and R5mkii this year? I don't see a R8mkii, R7mkii, R6mkiii or R3mkii coming within this year. Even with cheaper, smaller APS-C cameras such as the R50 and R100 Canon seems to be all set. I could only imagine a vlogger oriented camera and maybe a rebel like camera, which is more enticing than the R100 but less expensive as the R50. Naming such a camera could create a problem

The R5 is Canon's oldest pro series camera. The R8 is their newest with the R6ii not far behind.

Edit: the R3, R5 and R6 Mk II have 2.4 and 5 GHz wifi, other R series have 2.4 GHz only.

The DS126922 has 1024QAM encoding, which was introduced in 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6).

ID0179 goes up to 256QAM, which means Wi-Fi 5.

Question: What is the typical time between when a camera is registered and when it is shipped? I am guessing 2-3 months, but I am only guessing. Looks like registration is about a month before announcement (at least it was for the Sony A9 III).

Anyone know the Wi-Fi spec of the more recent Canon bodies?

Is the spec even necessarily Wi-Fi? For example, could the one with a speed rating consistent with Wi-Fi 5 actually be a wireless flash like an EL-10 (430-series equivalent)?

Curious that the ID product would not have Bluetooth and only wifi 5. All consumer low end cameras have Bluetooth, so it is unlikely to be that. Perhaps a security cam or PTZ camera?
