Canon EOS R5 Mark II unconfirmed specifications

Ill parrot what was said above, if we get 16 stops ill be very happy.

Even if its just in single shot mode at ISO100 mechanical shutter, it would be a fantastic tool to have.
Most likely it'll be accompanied by a slow readout.

Also, I don't know how Canon measures the DR, but they'll probably have to make 16-bit raws in order to achieve 16 stops of DR.

I agree! 16 stops of DR would be a reason to upgrade from the R5 to the R5 II EVEN if you don’t care about video at all.

Well-implemented built-in GPS would be another good reason.

In terms of video I really hope to see at least 4K60p or 4K120p uncropped oversampled video from the entire sensor.
I wonder if there will be any 6K recording options besides the obvious 8K30p and 8K60p (which will hopefully also work without the active cooling grip)

And I also hope we'll have to option to record audio for high framerate video! And cropped raw would be nice as well, the cropped 4k60 on the R5 was oversampled, having a bit more pixels would allow better stabilization in post for my shaky vids :)

I left that off, as I have seen it mentioned elsewhere. Yes, it'll have pre-capture.
I really hope it will have a better user experience than the current implementation, being locked out of the camera after each use of pre-capture makes it virtually useless for me. And that's not even taking the one-file-to-rule-them-all that only DPP4 can split properly into account!

The only thing I hope for video wise is 4K 120 fps that doesn't overheat.

Other than that, most exciting feature for me is the glowing buttons. I shoot a lot in the dark and I'd love that. Along with the option to keep the top lcd backlight turned on permanently, or at least for a few minutes, so I can actually see the info in the dark.

A usable ibis high res mode would be welcomed as well, since the current implementation is a joke.
