I'm here at WPPI and have been told that the 1Dx has been delayed until late April/early May. This was not in writing but verbally told to me by the highest ranking person at Canon that I know. By the way, the 24-70 looks nice.

Ex. 1: "I'm okay. Don't mind the gaping wound and the sword protruding from my back. I'm fine. Feel like a million fucking bucks, dammit."

Ex. 2:
"Is your car stuck in the mud?"
"No, no, of course not. I'm only practicing how to spray mud using my tires.

Jackass."

Its been previously said that Olympics photographers and contracted news agencies will get theirs first. Nikon has delayed the D4 a month, and a Canon delay is not unexpected.

Its really hard to get a production line going after all the supply chain disruptions. There may be more delays for D800 and 5D MK III.

Always good to hear news about the mythical 1Dx.

wait till the video of the yeti using a 1Dx with 200-400f4L with builtin TC comes out... :o

I just saw it on Youtube. It's a video taken with a 5Dx, of a yeti taking shots of the Loch Ness monster using a 1Dx and 200-400 f/4L auto focused at f/8. The yeti then hops in his VW GolfX and drives down to McDonald's to pick up a Big MacX, which he washes down with a Dr. PepperX, before retiring for the evening at Holiday Inn ExpressX.

Heck, why not just push it to September. It's not like any important international sporting events are happening before then, right?

How about Olympics 2012 in London? Isn't that an international sporting events?

I live about 10 miles from the Olympics. We are going to France for our vacation then on the basis that the tourist spots will be less busy than usual :D

If it's true or not, we "normal" customers have to wait until our brand new camera is a frikkin' year old before we can buy it, awesome...

Looks like the 5d is staying for a while, not too unhappy with it though, it. is. awesome IQ at least. I've been using my 17 TS and Zeiss 28mm a bit more lately, and with the Eg-S screen, I get more images in focus with MF than my other lenses with AF, lol. Not quite sure what to think of that....
