When the F%*@ can we buy this lens?

I love it how Canon announces a product but doesn't specify when it is available, in its physical form, on store shelves.

My head is about to explode! Apple announces the new ipad and its available within a week or so. Canon announces the 1DX last October and people still cant get it. WTF? Its piss poor business if you ask me.

You would complain anyway. What about if you bought the old one and a week later, without notice, its successor is available?
I prefer the possibility to decide if I want the old or new one. And I want to compare both. So - whats wrong with Canon at this point?

I pre-ordered a MK3 with the 24-70II ... I was told the camera would be out 22nd Mar - it arrived with me 22nd ... the lens I've been told by the same supplier (Calumet UK) will be a month later ... at the moment they've been 100% accurate

I read April as a possibility, not sure where though. I guess that's not to much help... Sorry
