5D mark III silent shooting

So I just received my 5D mark III yesterday and I couldn't be happier. I do have a quick question that I can't seem to find an answer to. I am amazed at how quite the silent shooting mode is and would love to use it all of the time but are there any downsides to using that mode besides less frames per second? I doesn't put any extra stress on the shutter or anything else does it?

Viewfinder blackout time is increased, but probably not noticeably unless you know what you're looking for.

I'm guessing that, in pretty much any situation where you'd want silent shooting, the blackout time won't at all be a factor, and, in situations where blackout time is a factor, you won't care about silent shooting.

Cheers,

I don't believe there are any mechanical downsides. If anything they should be positives as the mirror moves slower. I also have to add, the first silent shot I took actually startled me at how quiet it was. I had seen the youtube comparisons but they couldn't prepare me for the soft press shutter release and silent shooting. So drastically different from my 50D. (all in a good way, mind you.)
