I recently went forward with a 5D2 myself, I just don't see the 5D3 being in the "under $2K" price tier and 5D2 is still the best you can get for that price. I'm really liking mine except the dang thing has a stuck pixel in the sensor and has to be exchanged. But definitely getting an exchange and I do not want a refund.
