No source given, but PR is claiming €3,799 for the body-only price:

3799€ seems awfully high, I don't really believe it (don't want to).

The 1DXII came for 6299€, so the same prize in € as in US$, and I guess that's the same what they will do with the 5DIV.

(or the 3799€ is correct and they go for 3799$ as well.....)

€3,799 may be the cheaper kit price ...

I think you're kidding yourself. Given the recent exchange rate fluctuations and consequential price rises in Europe for an awful lot of Japanese goods, I think you'll find this is very much in line with the 5D Mark III price at launch, which was €3569.

A lot of money. 3200-3300E would have been ok (read on other postings where the price increases and the pricedrops were discussed some days ago). But 3800? A littl bit high, even if you get a lot for this.
My best girlfried wrote to me today, Sony will compeed.

I'd expect a price competitive to Nikon D810 meaning around USD 3,300 and USD 3,799 kit with the 24-105/4L II. Euro 3,799 body only is definitely overpriced, but that can be fixed (i.e. lowered) if no one buys for the first 1 year... Customer loyalty one thing, profiteering another.

Could be pricing in further decline in European currency relative to the yen. It is much easier to decrease the price through sales and rebates than increase the price for the region. There is likely the early adopter tax on top of that. That said for that price I would pick up a 5Dsr out to the Canon refurb store.

Sadly, we don't have that in Europe (Germany). :(
Actually, Canon "opened" their online store in Germany just this year. And you don't even get all the camera stuff (all the high end stuf is missing, mainly the pro cameras)
