5DmkII + Magic Lantern question for ML users

I have a 5DmkII and found Magic Lantern on the net recently.
I think it could be a nice improvement but because it's not official supported, are there known stories of camera's died due to ML?

I've read it supports Auto ETTR. It sounds great to get the best image question but are you using it?
Does it really improve the IQ?

Why should I try ML for stills in your point of view?

I have ML 2.1.2 on my markii. I have it on three CF cards, I recently bought a KomputerBay 32 GB 1050x. On all my other cards I get the raw video module. However, with my new card I don't have the option to add a module but everything else in ML is the same. And this is the only card fast enough to actually shoot in raw. I copied and pasted the same ML as the other cards and after it didn't work I even drug over the raw video file. Anything I should try. Maybe uninstall ML and reinstall the newest ML update on all my cards.

I've used it on my 5d2 & 5d3, no problems at all. Unless you get the bleeding edge Alpha, it's generally pretty safe. Even the bleeding edge Alpha I've heard usually won't b0rk your camera, although it may not be stable.
