5DSr Card count issue?

So how about this for weird.

I've two 5DSr's and with the same formatted cards report a different number of available shots:

Body 1 : 1622
Body 2 : 1582

Same cards in each (so body 1 cards taken and moved to body 2).

Since the files sizes can vary greatly based on content and noise levels, the cameras may have different predictions of the number of shots remaining. I believe the data is stored in the camera based on the types of shots done previously. If you put them both at the same shot settings with the lens cap on, they should take the exact same number of shots each in actual practice.

Any difference3 in settings between the two cameras will affect the number of shots. Something is set differently. reset both cameras so they will be the same.

You should send both to Canon so they can figure this out.

I think I know what the problem is, it could be a symptom of OCD.

Yup. Different ISO, different noise reduction, different anything that will effect the image processing.
