Hi. I am still learning as I go so I hope that this is not a dumb question !!!!
I own a 60D and a Canon 70-300L.
I have noticed that I get different levels when shooting the same shot using the center focus point or all 9 AF points. With single the image is darker.
I have the camera set to use Evaluative Metering so I am confused as to why I get a difference in levels.
Am I missing the obvious?

Thanks in advance for your replies :-)

Evaluative metering biases the metering toward the selected AF point. It's not spot metering, but is weighted - getting a different meter reading seems reasonable, depending on the scene.

Hi. Thanks for the reply.
According to the manual the Evaluative metering uses the whole frame. It seems that when I use the center AF point it seems to change to spot metering but obviously this cannot be true. I think !!!
