The wireless control is pretty basic but works well enough. Strikes me that it opens up all sorts of opportunities for programmers to create things like an Intervalometer app.
I see that intervalometers are already available: http://www.canonrumors.com/forum/index.php?topic=4905.0 but I guess as software it'd be one less thing to carry, as long as you have your phone with you.
What other possibilities are there?

- Crazy slow but steady change in zoom for weird fireworks type shots?
- Photo stacking at multiple focus distances?
(Yes the stacking would be done in post processing) - Other?
