Didn't see this linked, curious about peoples thoughts on:

This is one of those things were is the absence of something bad necessarily good? I am glad to see that clean of images once pushed. But as I do not know what went into the original JPGs I can not know of sure if this means the new sensor tech has less banding and more detail in the shadows, or if something went into how the images were taken/processed.

For pushed files, they look pretty good. But that may or may not mean something. We won't know until we have third party evaluations of RAW files following previous test protocols or we get enough empirical data from actual users.

A push test isn't going to tell you anything unless the original images were DR limited to start with. Not everything is DR limited, and it's quite possible to fit a lot of scenes within 8-10 stops of DR. For a push test to have any meaning, you need to be exposing scenes with 11-14 stops of DR. THEN you'll really see how far the sensor can go. Oh...you gotta push RAW as well...pushing a JPEG is basically pointless.

+1.

Pushing jpeg images is worthless and tells us nothing, except the expertise level of the person doing the pushing.
