Any 5DS's in the UK ?.

Has the Canon EOS 5DS or 5DSR arrived in the UK ?. WEX, Calumet, Mifsuds, Park etc are still taking pre-orders, and Amazon are yet to list them.

I think a small number have come in for the privileged few. But I've had one on pre-order for three months or so and main dealer seems to have no idea when I'm likely to ever see one. US and Asia appear to have them on open sale so clearly been much better served by Canon than UK. Don't know if anyone here has experienced anything different?

I got mine !!! I collected it from WEX in Norwich on 19th June and it had been waiting for me since 15th.

I pre ordered in February tho' !

they do seem a bit more pricey in the UK

Here in Canada in a Canon authorised shop:

5ds = $4633 / £2276
5ds r = $4859 / £2387

Wex are upper end here in the UK, it's a nice spec and images are Awsome!

My investment this year is in glass, next year who knows, saying that I'd like a crop for my long glass, if I win the lotto I will buy us both one
