Anyone have the Kirk foot for 100-4002?

This is not a "replacement foot" in these photos. It is a plate added to the Canon foot. The RRS and Kirk replacement feet are added to the lens after removing the Canon foot. See (for example)

https://www.kirkphoto.com/lens-mounting/canon/100-400mm-f-4-5-5-6l-is-ii-usm/replacement-lens-foot-for-canon-ef-100-400mm-f-4-5-5-6l-is-ii-usm.html

and look at the video.

Yes, I know about the replacement foot, but YuengLinger mentioned using the same plate that fit on the 400 and it fit in the case.

I use the RRS which was originally on my (now sold) ef 400mm f/5.6L, not the Wimberly. The RRS has a lip that presses against the front end of the foot and stops it from twisting. Does the Wimberly also have a lip?

It really causes no problem with my bag. The zippers are not strained.

With this RRS plate, everything is tight and stable. Fits in the bag, easy to use the foot as a handle for carrying, but my fingers are slim.

I see your RRS plate is shorter than my Wimberly. That's the main problem for me, it extends below where the zipper starts and the case is narrow. The Wimberly does have a lip so there is no issue with twisting.

Back from my 6 Day Ban so I want to take the opportunity to thank all the folks who replied to the thread. Have a great day!

Don't mention the War Ban.

Me likes. It fits in the Canon bag and in my various other camera bags very well. The foot size gives me no concerns, I don't notice it being either too close or far from the lens body. It's a keeper.

Wow, that is one large gimbal the lens is sitting on! ;) ;)

Glad it worked out for you.
