Great spotted woodpecker, ISO 2500, no noise reduction (other than the default color noise reduction) and a 100 % crop

Don, Mario, thanks for posting those.

From what I can see, Hi ISO noise character is decent with only slight evidence of vertical striation/banding.
Low ISO is still typical (old system tech) Canon in character with some trace of pattern noise in lower midtones.
IMO, very similar to everything I've seen since the 5d2 using off-sensor ADC.

I'm sure many people will be very happy with this camera and the great feature set on it that will make using it easy and fun but it would not meet my requirements for output quality.
