...with certain contraints, the M6Mk2 + adapted EF-M 100-400 II pairing yields nice results (although I hope to accomplish more with the Pearl Crescent )

We have had uncommonly nice weather in our area of the midwest (hot but not too hot; light breeze; mostly sunny; little or no rain)...these conditions have resulted in marvelous opportunities for the acquisition of decent butterfly images. The above images were all from the same day...neighbor's butterfly bush.

I remain pleasantly surprised at the images that the M6 Mk2 produces...especially with the 100-400II.

Last weekend, just before it got cold and rainy, I was able to catch this little fellow.

Latticed heath (chiasmia clathrata), again, from earlier this year.
When you look at the fringes at the wings, you see that they are long and all there. This must be a quite young individual.
