Just a quick post to say I found an issue with the 1DX Mark2 and EF 200mm f/2.0.

1DX2 is running the latest firmware (1.1.2), this issue has nothing to do with the 200/2's IS - 5D3 problem, and my lens is not one that was effected.

Seems that when the camera is powered down and the 200/2 is mounted it fails to power up when switched back on.

The only way to restore it is to pull the battery, then all is normal, out of 10 attempts its normally fails 8/9 times.

CPS have replicated the problem with their 1DX2 and 200/2 and have forwarded it to Canon, I hope they sort it soon!

Most likely a local problem (and most likely it's the camera :) ). I shot the same combo quite few times, no problems at all. Same 1.1.2 firmware.
Only once the camera froze (also had to pull the battery out), but it happened with the 70-200LII on.
Never saw any freezing issues with the 5dsr (after a year of extensive usage).

Camera has been great, just this minor issue with mounting the 200L/2, shoots fine once the glitch is cleared by remove and reinsert the batt, CPS have the same issue, just waiting to hear what they will do, prob be a firmware for the lens or camera, who knows... lets see...
