Nice images.

Gary, in the third image where there appears to be ghosting in the bottom two OOF flowers ... is this normal? I've had the 85L II for a few months now but have not seen anything like this ... yet.

I normally don´t contribute to this thread, but I follow it. Gary, you are more or less keeping it going on your own. I am impressed with the number of good f1.2 shots you make. It seems to me that lens is glued to your 1DX.

This is one of my daughter, just returned from the gym last night.
5DIII, 1/100s, f2.0, ISO5000

There is no fun shooting @ f2 Eldar :P

@ f1.4 with 3stop ND filter, mid afternoon, 97F in California ;)

He he, it was actually with intent :P

If you look at this thread, and others like the newly started Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art thread and the Zeiss Otus thread, almost all images are shot wide open. With Gary it has become a trade mark, so it gives his images identity. But for a lot of the others, I think many of them would benefit from a slightly deeper DOF.

But I clearly see the logic; If you buy a f1.2 lens, it´s because you want to shoot it at f1.2 and the only way to master this thin DOF is to practice, practice and then practice ::)

Here´s another one of my daughter (still proud after all these years ;)), where I went from f2.0 (previous post) to f1.6. I do suspect though that I would have been more happy with a tiny bit more depth.
1DX, 1/125s, f1.6, ISO1000 (no edit)
