I love my 28-70 f2 I recently got, it's the best lens I have.

But there are a few things that could be improved for Mk II:

- In video the AF noise ruins the audio quite horribly. You need an external mic, which I don't have. Also focus breathing (R5 doesn't have correction for this).
- The AF could be snappier. It feels just a tad slower than my 24-105 f4L and 100-500. Still a lot faster than the 50 1.8.
- It could be lighter etc.

I think it would need a lens firmware update for the correction to work, but I suspect the amount to breathing is too much to correct, which is why this lens has been left out.

I read a rumor about a Canon retro, range-finder style full frame body. It will be nice to see that next to R6-mkiii before I pull the trigger on Zf!

I’m still a bit baffled as to the ES 30 fps frame rate. The R6mk II already has 40 fps. It seems a bit weird dropping 10fps in the mk iii

It may be that the sensor of the R3 can’t do more than 30fps. Even though it has faster readout, it may not be able to process more fps.

The R3 has a 195fps mode where it just captures to RAM and does all the processing at the end. The sensor isn’t the bottleneck here, the Digic X is.

My local camera shop here in New Zealand told me Canon is having a presentation for retailers on the 19th of February and the Big Box retailers are invited not just the camera shops so it's going to be a product they (the Big Box shops) sell which includes mid priced consumer cameras such as the R6 line.

Given that intel claimed that nothing on the R63 would get out before or during CP+ which just ended and "maybe march at the earliest", I'd say everything is pretty much on track.

I'm happy with my little RP, but it really shows its limits in low light situations, and I'm ready to upgrade.

I've read that the R6 mark ii is already better in low light than the R5 mark ii, so I'm guessing my camera of choice should logically be the next R6… What do you think?

R6-series has always been a good low light camera, better than R5-series is a must
