Canon Lens Rebates...

I'm looking to purchase a 85 1.2 at a good price. I know currently Canon has a $150 rebate, but listed price from B&H is $2,200. Still pricey after rebate.

Does anyone know (or unscientifically) track how often/when Canon offers their rebates during the year?

Thanks!

I used Canon price watch.

They show the price from authorized dealers and also when rebates are available and how the price is effected.

Having said that... I also like using camel camel camel which only tracks amazon... but they are pretty competitive with most.

So your best bet in the last year new would be $1929. But per CPW... you could have gotten one for $1750... but there isn't a distinction whether it was grey market or not. So take everything with a grain of salt... do your research, have a buy it now price point in your mind, and then when that happens... jump.

You miss out on the group buy from CPW for the 85L for $1699 shipped. No hassle sending any rebate

Yea, I'm registered w/CPW & received the notice on the Group Buy, but I wasn't familiar with this...how it works and more importantly, if the products were used/open, etc. so I didn't rush into it.
