The way Canon is going, maybe one day they will make a 70-200 f2 lens.

Yes, after a 100-300mm f/2.8 and 200-500mm f/4 why not a 70-200 f/2 or even f/1.8 ?
It could share many components with the 100-300 f/2.8 and would weigh about the same and the price would be similar.

I'm presently using the superb R 2,8/60 Macro Elmarit and the Zeiss 50mm f2. An RF 60mm f2 with AF would be an instant buy for me. I like this focal length, with AF it would be a perfect universal lens. With or without SAC...
