Patent Application: Canon RF Power Zooms

The lenses you mentioned above certainly have a correct sharpness, but selling lenses at F11 is making fun of your customers... and only amateurs can be fooled and buy such equipment. At F11 you need a lot of light to take pictures and since wildlife photography requires high shutter speeds this really won't work well.

In my opinion it is better to save a little more and buy a higher end lens than to get ripped off by buying a lens at F11. Canon is really taking its customers for fools and /or cash cows if you prefer this metaphor.
The only fool here is you. And a snob to boot. I have owned big whites and now I have an 800 f/11. Because I know how to get the most out of my equipment, and my money. These lenses provide options that were absent before. You can derive a sense of superiority from denigrating them, some of us will get on with taking good photos without the limitation of narrowmindedness.

Yes, I finally committed to to my first mirrorless camera based (R5m2) on this deal. Circumstances meant I had to forgo at launch, but things have changed, and the cost dropped to what is now more justifiable. Happy mine is now on the way (when stock arrives...). I look forward to sharing my experiences soon!
A massive change from DLSR straight to R5ii!
Takes a little while to get used to but I could never go back. The only downside these days is shorter battery life so take a spare one.

Yeah, I'm expecting that, but have some time planned to explore the camera before I really use it.
It's pretty difficult to get a second battery at the moment. I hope this resolves soon enough, and plan on at least 1 spare (I normally carry 2).

in the worst scenario, use the LP-E6NH. Cheaper, has the same capacity but doesn't have the higher max discharge rate of 6A limiting some features.
