Canon to Merge Two Lenses Into an RF 24-70mm f/2L IS?

When I go out to shoot birds, I now bring only the supertele. I used to bring along a standard zoom, 'just in case', but after a few years of never using it I no longer bother unless I know there will be landscape opportunities.

However, when traveling I am always opportunistic. I bring the 10-20/4, a standard zoom (typically 24-105/4), the 100-500L or RF 100-400, and several lenses in between...usually a TS-E, a fast prime for indoor shooting, etc.). I bring several lenses in a carryon, but use a shoulder bag with a subset of them for any given outing.

I'm very interested in the 10-20/4, Neuro. You are the go to guy for knowledge. How do you like the lens? Thanks.

I've got 28-200 covered, mostly with Takumars. Tamron 45mm, Canon EF 135, lots of m42 mounts.

No RF. You are right. Not fair!

Received the lens two days ago. Hectic weekend with two kids, and my wife working until nearly dark. And this new lens has learning curves for capture and for processing.

You'll see three versions of the same shot of the tub, a tub which is not round but oval. (This one's distortion really surprised me.) The file names are descriptive, but, just for clarity, "LRC no correction" shows how the image looked when opened in Lightroom Classic. "LRC w correction" shows a modified RF 14-35mm f/4 lens-correction applied to the 10-22mm. The modification was to move the distortion slider on the...
