Agree to disagree. From my observation, he was very good at cherry picking factoids to portray his opinions as supposedly irrefutable truth. As MikeGalos noted above, this usually manifested as Canon's financial success being interpreted as their products being superior in every single aspect.If you thought he presented his opinions as facts, well, you are just wrong. What he did was point out when others (so many others) presented their opinions as facts. Sad that you can't tell the difference and exactly why - despite his faults - he was a valuable member of this forum.
Whatever your opinion on how intellectually honest he was, what seems to be universally accepted here was that he was incredibly toxic and there was no need for that.
