Great close upThe BSH was sitting on the window sill and saw a bird in a tree.
EOS R6, RF100-400 @135mm, 1/500s, f/13, ISO 6400.
I had a Raynox DCR250 on the lens. With this combination I tend to put the R6 in crop mode since any focal length shorter than 400mm has severe vignetting.
With crop mode enabled I try to mitigate the risk of framing too tightly.
While the EF100L + Raynox makes for much sharper images, the combination with the RF100-400 gives me up to 3x magnification at 400mm.
Here are two I took of my MIL's two cats. They are a bit more skittish than ours, so I opted for a slightly longer lens.
EOS R6, EF100L, f/2.8.
Thanks, Click. The EF100L has become my de facto portrait lens, be it cat or humanVery nice portraits. Perfect in B&W. Well done, photophil.
Hard not to when they are that cute!(Yes, I did just use nearly $10K worth of camera gear to take cat pics to post on the internet .)
If you get a chance, and it's convenient, I'd love to see those feet/paws playing with something! We recently adopted a pair of 4 month old kittens. Lots of fun! Both of them are very polydactyl.
