My wife and I went to Chicago this past July for our last trip alone before the little guy got here. What a beautiful city! The weather was amazing and the people were so friendly. I was pretty happy with the shots I got with the trusty old 40D.

I was in Chicago this week - weather was good at times, but nothing like you had!!!

1- City from the east at the river
2- Michigan Ave. near the Hancock Bldg. looking up with a fisheye

Amazing pictures have been taken for a lot longer than 8 years. It doesn't mean innovation should cease.

I too own a 40D - great camera!!!! But even some of my greatest pics were taken with my 10D before that!!!

Those are great shots and you had to be more determined. It's was mid 70's when we were there. I highly doubt that's the type of weather you had.

What fisheye did you use for these? I've been looking at the different options lately, but haven't had one really stand out so far.

Thanks Lilwesta!! Weather was not too bad, around 30deg F.

The fisheye is Canon's 15mm f2.8 (discontinued but available used on various internet sites.) It's a great lens, very sharp and great color. The CA can be bad, but easily fixes in LR.
