Agreed. My 60d was gone within 14 days of purchase and one weekend in Key West trying to get some BIF... Never regretted the change and never looked back...Marsu42 said:Krob78 said:I've owned both the 60d and the 7d. The 60d tracking capability should be called tracking inability... It doesn't touch the 7d.
Absolutely, I'd even say my/the 60d doesn't do "tracking" at all (nr do any of the 9pt af models) - they simply have "servo af" which does come handy if you want to do some snaps of a moving object and want the camera do do some linear prediction. But you cannot customize anything. the af doesn't lock on an object, it's really a legacy system and completely outdated by today's dlsr standard.
With my 7d, I had a difficult time letting it go, even taking it off of my profile. I loved it! I knew it inside and out and despite some it's shortcomings with regard to noise in the shadows in low light scenarios, I absolutely loved it for all my wildlife and sports work. Loved it...
It seriously took me over 6 months to "let it go" after purchasing the 5d Mk III. Since then I've not looked back either, there is no comparison, except I'd like a better frame rate for continuous high speed and more especially for silent high speed... I love that mode, just wish for much better frame rate.
I will consider a 7d Mk II, depending highly on the specs... I'm looking forward to an announcement later this year!
