SO CP+ in japan hast started today!
no news yet (from my research) from canon on new SLRs.. do you think it will be this weekend the big announcement? what we (quite a few of us) been waiting for? the 5d mkIII? or any other SLR?

come on canon give us something!!

WPPI - biggest wedding photographer convention at the end of this month.

5D MK II - Biggest wedding photographer camera for canon.

June 2012 - Start of wedding season.

It would be a smart move for canon - but I still think they're hoping to sell a few 1DX's to the desperate first.

If they announce the 5DmkII replacement on Feb 28th as per the rumors this might give enought time to get this puppy into the hands of wedding photographer for the summer hopefully...

Is the 5D the biggest wedding camera? I see a lot more 1Ds III's and now the 1D X is here.

hm, Cp+ 2012 started,

i'm waiting for the next generation of 600d (maybe 650d),
I was hoping that its announced this week,

how possible is it that, canon will announce new bodys, on 2nd or 3rd day of Cp+

Announcements are made during the week BEFORE the show starts.

This is because Canon will have the newly announced models on display (at least a model or prototype). It makes no sense to make a announcement AFTER you put it on display, and the show's purpose it to hype your equipment with show and tell.

I've seen a number of women wedding photographers who much prefer the 5D MK II for its size. I have big hands, and like the big body, but it does depend on the person.

The 1D MK IV has had complaints from big name wedding photographers for its marginal low light autofocus. The 5D MK II is outstanding in low light with the center point.

Too late. I've never ever seen they announce anything of substance once the show is already going.
