The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being.

I don't know at this time how quickly the change will happen, but that will move at a good pace I am sure.

Dragonflies and Damselflies

Where did you take it? It's a Sympetrum darwinianum, commonly known as the Darwin’s darter
I photographed it in the "Kurobe Gorge", near Toyama. It's one of the deepest gorges in Japan. We accessed it by train, ready to hike a bit, which, unfortunately, couldn't be done. There had been an earthquake some time before, so it would have been dangerous to walk in that very steep gorge.
I took my revenge on the dragonfly!

… And a link for fans of dragonflies living in Germany:
Fantastic documentation espacially the under water part!
As it is a french production there might also be a french version on arte france.
Nice photos, Nemorino.

And I can 1000% confirm your opinion about that documentary.
When I saw this the first time last year I thought that this is the best documentary about dragons and damsels I've ever seen.
I was happy to see it re-aired this year.
