The dragon hunting season is now in full swing,

really lovely.
I am on Crete now. Nothing interesting yet where I am.

… and a rare Norfolk Hawker.

You had them before?
They are quite common at my local ponds, as you surely remember.
But they are listed „vulnerable“ in Bavaria.

Obviously some find the "highlights" attractive, but I find them a distraction and rather overwhelming. But chacun à son goût (as we say here but à chacun son goût for Del Paso?).

I like both:
Creamy uniform BG as well as some well positioned highlights.
