Finally, after a long time waiting, the 2023 dragonfliy and damselfly season in Franconia is opened.
As expected, the common winter damselfly (sympecma fusca) was first.

After some damselflies, here the first dragonfly of the year:
an immature male scarce chaser (libellula fulva).
Mediocre light and quite far away
5D4, 100-400L II+TC, @560 mm, 1/400, f/10, ISO2000.

Honestly, looking at the sharpness of the original RAW, I know that I and my 5D4 can do much better.
But the photo works, and I have the light conditions as excuse
