MPB pricing right now is ~$5K for the EF 800/5.6L and ~$3.5K for the R3. I doubt many people would characterize $8500 as 'very low cost'. The R6II + 200-800 will also give very good results, for $4200 brand new. Just sayin'.

1) I had already my EF800mm F5.6 bought in Japan through Ebay cheaper than on MBP who is too expensive
I sold my R5 and many others material to buy a R3 used and I don't regret it .. R3 is fabulous and the combination of F5.6 of the EF800mm and the very good iso capacity of R3 make me happy

2) I've learned that, like with cars, buying new doesn't make any difference

3) "Very low cost" in front of a RF800mm and a R3 new of course!!

4) the F9 of the RF200-800mm wasn't too low for me
