Yeah, special offer for US-based purchasers ... but for European customers DigitalRev are offering the same 600EX-RT for a limited time of 19 more hrs at "only" Euro € 477,79 : ... instead of regular € 492,79 ... "big saving € 15" ... you know what, DigitalRev? Just keep it, go destroy some cameras and strobes and shut up.

Really hate this type of "differential pricing". As if different currencies would not be bad enough alone ... oh no, manufacturers and retailers have to try to get some additional profits out of it and to rip off any unwary clients.

Isn't it a tax issue? They're collecting VAT, whereas the USA price doesn't reflect that. It's same here in Canada, DigitalRev collects the HST/Duties, so the savings is tiny.

thanks! yes you are right. DR does say "No Import Tax/Duty to Pay: Any import tax/duty charged will be billed directly to us."

Not sure, if/how they can really do this when shipping gear into Austria - normally import duties + 20% VAT + handling charge are always charged to the customer. Point 4 and 8 of DRs T&Cs are also not really clear to me.
