EOS 1300D

The body is £289 in the U.K. At Wex. I used the 1100D for teaching purposes some years ago, up to 1000 ISO I was surprised how good it was...and not just for the price. Quality of photo was excellent as well. At3fps it helps refine timing for sports shooting - which is an important skill, as opposed to 'hose it down'.
Point I'm making, if this was good then the 1300 should be better.
Quick test anyway and return it if you don't like it.
Lovely little camera to take on holiday (smaller and lighter than 5D MklV), and should anything happen to it, a lot fewer tears.

Cameras in the 1x00D line are made from the same parts Canon used in the previous generation DSLRs. Canon does this to squeeze the last dollars out of existing production lines.

This means the cameras are just as good as the cameras made a couple of years ago, just cheaper.

If the specs look good to you, e.g. you don't need dual slots to make sure the photos aren't lost in case one memory card fails, just go ahead - it's a great deal.
