The idea is so simple that it probably has been brought up before. Simply give all new DSLRs compatibility with the addon EVF for the M3 and future higher end ones.
Admittedly it would look awkward, clunky and silly and you would want to showcase the feature first on a 1DXII. They can add it first to say the 80D, advertise it as for video in bright light or something like that, and after that make it standard for every DSLR.
I reckon they would sell heaps of EVFs, there is plenty to like about them and if people don't have to give up the OVFs even better.
