How do you extract the information? There is a field ShutterMode in the EXIF data. Most applications do not show all of the EXIF data.
Does it give just the total or separate ES?I use ExifTool (in Terminal).
Actually I just searched the web when I saw this thread here. I did use https://jimpl.com but I recommend installing ExifTool instead of uploading photos to web sites.Which one do you recommend for R series?
I don’t recall having checked, and since I am currently riding up a ski lift now is not the time. But I will do so later tonight or tomorrow.Does it give just the total or separate ES?
It's something I've looked into in the past without success. On hunting around now, I think with Canon R you need a commercial app that you connect to the camera as Canon doesn't write the separate shutter modes to files. At the suggestion of @ThomasTH, I tried shuttercount.net. It says the shutter count is not supported for R5ii but for the R5 it gives just the total number and not whether ES or MS.I don’t recall having checked, and since I am currently riding up a ski lift now is not the time. But I will do so later tonight or tomorrow.
For my R6 II Canon only provides the total shutter count including the electronic shutter.Does it give just the total or separate ES?
