Good evening (Danish time)

I happily received my new Canon EF 600 mm 4/IS II the other day from AC Foto in Germany (fantastic service from them - I can't recommend this shop enough fro European customers).
As the moon is full tonight, I decided to put up the new lens with my 1D Mk4 body and a Canon 2x MkIII converter on a Gimbal head.
Here is the best shot, with which I'm quite happy.
It is a 100% crop converted from a RAWfile and edited slightly in Photshop CS5: 1/250 - f/9 - ISO 400

I look forward to so many interesting times with the new beast - after having shot for 3 months with the 300 2,8/IS MkII and 2x converter.

Cheers
Thorbjørn /DK

>revup67 - No, I have only tried the standard IS-setting. This one is shot without IS due to use of tripod.

It IS possible to handhold the clean 600 mm - and in an emergency also with 1.4x converter, but not with 2x. OK, I'm not a fitness freak; others might be able to handhold for longer periods of time.
