We often see updates to ISO and even color depth/dynamic range/etc. ... but what hardware updates can we look forward to such as new buttons and such. An example of the type of upgrade I'm talking about is the articulating screen on the entry level DSLRs starting with the D5000 and then improving to the t3i/60d/d5100.

One thing I wish that Canon had added to the 5D MkIII was backlit buttons as per the new Nikons.
I do a lot of shooting in the dark, and the backlit buttons would be very handy.

Same here. I suspect that if they had been included people would complain that they added to the cost increase and that everyone knows the button layout by feel anyway.
