I now have the 70D and have been putting it through its paces. I have a first look posted up already shot with the 70D and the 5D3. Feel free to ask me any questions and you can download the RAW files and check out the video here: http://learningcameras.com/news/2-all/174-canon-70d-hands-on-video-with-samples

So far the results of the AF have been great and the AF has been working very well for me with video, even using my Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC which is my favorite video lens. Let me know if you have any questions.

Most excellent.

The 70D looks like it will be just what I am looking for. I was going to go for the 60D about a year ago, but I figured I'd wait to see if they could do anything with Live View AF and/or high ISO noise.

So far, the Live View AF seems to be miles ahead and well worth the wait. The ISO isn't what I hoped it would be, but honestly, it was far less of a deal than AF speed, and it will still be a huge leap from my G12.

Thanks, also, for sharing the RAW file of the high ISO image you took. The color noise is pretty nasty at ISO 6400 with noise reduction turned off, but Lightroom handles it brilliantly, in my opinion:

No Noise Reduction (100% Crop)

Noise Reduction On (Luminance 71, Color 62)

Hi Man thanks for the samples! I am a huge 60d fan, I have one and I don´t know if I should sell it or not to buy a 70d. This will help me make mi decision, so on high ISO performance, there´s not much difference, that is good to know.

BTW: I follow you on youtube! I like your reviews man! keep it up

Looks like an improvement over the 60D and 7D, but not enough of one for me.

Might be true. My personal view: The collegues at our local photo club got one yesterday and shot studio yesterday in the evening.
Well, compared with my old 60D - I want to replace - the Iso performance ist just a little bit better.

BUT a big bit worser than the D7100. Sorry Canon, the AF is superb. But the IQ is still not in the range of the D7100. We compared true shot studio pics yesterday.

As written, this is my personal opinion.

But, lacking an alternative, I will fetch mine in Innsbruck today.

If what you have seen is true, then how can Canon claim "class leading noise performance"? I kind of knew it wasn't going to even equal the D7100, let alone eclipse it. Fortunately for Canon, Nikon is still the inferior system with the inferior ergonomics and philosophy.
