Canon EOS 5D Mark III ISO Test

Although Canon claim that the new 5D Mark III has a 2-stop ISO advantage over the older 5D Mark II in JPeG capture, it would appear that this is true at lower ISO levels, but possibly not so, above say ISO 3200 or 6400?

I've only seen one set of images that were taken in low light at high ISO, and the results were quite amazing. Many of the reviewers take their high ISO test images under bright studio lighting, and you do not get the same results as those taken with extreme low lighting.

Go to DPR and download the full jpg images at low light and high ISO and compare them to your 5D MK II at 12800, 25600, settings where my 5D MK II only creates noise. There is a huge difference.

As a video, with all its associated processing and compression, it doesn't tell you much...but I recognized the scene, it's part of the Imaging Resource test set-up...and lo and behold, they have published 5d3 sample pictures, at full size and downloadable RAW files:

I do assume they are from a pre-production camera...
