To answer the question from the article of "will you buy it?," the answer is yes. I currently have a R5 and R6. I've held off on updating both of those, but the R6 is definitely the one of the two that would be first up for an upgrade. I shoot events, weddings, headshots and real estate. So really, any improvements in my camera are welcome.
The most appealing thing is the 32mp sensor. 20mp has been enough for most applications, and the 20mp is actually preferred to 45mp for some applications such as reception photos at a wedding. However, I'm careful to use the R5 instead for images that might require a lot of resolution or cropping. It will be nice to close that gap a little and not have to think about it as much. The 2nd thing for me is going to be the updates to the autofocus.
I guess the real question for me is not whether I will buy the R6III, but will I buy a 2nd one of them when I replace my R5, or get the R5II? I do definitely enjoy owning the R5 series and having the top-end grip-less camera, and the plan has been to get the R5II eventually. But the R6III might change that. We'll see
