Mine arrived yesterday! With the 24-105mm L kit lens and a 100mm L macro! Your in for a treat what a beast so much better than my old 7D.

Bought mine from DigitalRev, saved over £1000. Prices are crazy here in the UK, no brainer buying from them as there is no import tax to pay.

Quick play last night and the ISO ability is madness!!!!

Just curious, why did you buy from B&H when there are all these people selling it for $400-$600 cheaper than them?

I don't want to say thing I shouldn't in public. But for my circumstances, B&H is the most economical AND most dependable of any vendor I could use. I also have a long relationship with them, and I've got sort of a loyalty thing I guess.

Probably because B&H is much more trustworthy than the eBay retailers.

+1 for supporting reliable retailers with a workable return policy, a staffed customer service department, real people behind real telephones, etc. B&H is among the leaders here. Adorama in the past has been a little quirkier but recently they are great to deal with as well - they even refunded shipping when they slipped up and didn't ship 2-day after their recent holiday break, during which they shipped no orders. Good experience with Amazon too. and they all use real credit cards.

So yea, I'm rather partial to the big three.

to each his own, to be sure. bargain hunters love the chase and risk takers come out very well sometimes. the game is just not for me.

If you are patient, especially around the holidays, B&H usually have some of the best deals out there. Especially some of the package deals they throw together. Can't beat them. Plus they are always great to deal with. I have also met a few of their reps at conventions and seminars and they are first class all around which is why they continue to get my business.

Ordered my latest lens from B&H because it was a great price ($1139 for the 8-15mm Fisheye with free overnight shipping).

I always FEEL better when I buy stuff from them, knowing I can always call if there is an issue and that there are people there. They've never given me any grief about returns or exchanges either.

I'm pretty certain that the 50 1.4 will be sitting under the Christmas tree for me. This will be my first prime lens and I can't wait to try it out! Merry Christmas! (now I really need to stop procrastinating and get to the store to buy groceries for Christmas Eve/Christmas dinner ::)).
