It's not the R1 it's the 1R, come on man

It's not the R1 it's the 1R, come on man.... all 1-series start with "Canon EOS 1" not anything else, ever.

I registered just to post this.

Cano EOS 1
Canon EOS 1-(others IDK their names)
Canon EOS 1v
Canon EOS 1D
Canon EOS 1Ds
Canon EOS 1D-a much of Marks
Canon EOS 1DX I, II, III

Canon EOS R1??????????????????????????????????????

No way.

I had a G1X, Its certainly possible that there would be a 1R, but so far, all the R models start with R. The "D" used to differentiate film and digital, now the R means mirrorless. I hope they don't mess up their naming system even more than it is already. RP, R, R5, R6, it is a jumble but at least they all start with a "R" just like the M series starts with a "M".

It took them a while to figure out their numbering for the "D" series too. Remember the D30 and D60 that preceded the 10D, 20D, 30D, etc. Canon never seems to have a clear roadmap to start.

Ahh very true with the R5 and R6...hmmm... well I won't delete my post just incase. haha

Yeah I used to sell the 10D and 20D from canon, then Nikon trade marked the D70 and screwed it up for canon.

There was no film 1D. The D started with digital. The last film EOS 1 was the EOS 1v.
