Has anyone seen this ? It looks to be pretty awesome technology. Quote from their page "Recording light fields requires an innovative, entirely new kind of sensor called a light field sensor. The light field sensor captures the color, intensity and vector direction of the rays of light. This directional information is completely lost with traditional camera sensors, which simply add up all the light rays and record them as a single amount of light. "
You can basically change the focus in the picture after you have taken the Shot. :o

These things are around for a while now and there is already a thread on this. To me it looked fine at first glance too but I believe to understand that it not really captures light rays but more makes different images at once where different pixels get different focus and combined you get a multiple focus image. Not useless but not stunning yet too.

Yes, it seems like a fantastic piece of equipment at first... BUT it is one of those products that is in its beginning stages. There is no way to adjust ISO settings, as well as no flash. You are limited to the light around you, as well as its lower-end IQ in many situations. Looks like a great concept, but said by many reviewers "The Lytro is a long distance away from replacing any DSLR on the market".

Yeah I thought the technology was very cool, being able to adjust the focus could be very useful. But it would also be an excuse for a photographer to be that much more careless, "we can just fix it in post," I hate hearing those words (when said before the shot has even been taken).
